PPS is a digital database which documents and ensures the quality of nursing procedures. PPS consists of all the basic procedures as well as extensive research based theory, and is developed and revised by specialists in nursing and medicine. PPS combines text with over 800 illustrations and animations. Target groups are nurses in clinical practice as well as nursing students and lecturers. PPS is revised once a year, ensuring its users information based on the most recent research in the field of nursing. PPS is distributed through licenses and used in all Norwegian nursing colleges as well as several hospitals and local health services.
